Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Conspiracy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Conspiracy ("the app").

Conspiracy is a social debate platform where users can create and join debates, choose a side as a Believer or Sceptic, vote, post arguments, reply to others, upload images and videos, save content, follow users, block users, and report content.

By using Conspiracy, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information we collect

We collect information needed to provide and protect the app.

Account information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

If you sign in with Google, we may receive basic Google account information needed to create or log in to your account, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, depending on what Google provides and what you approve.

We do not receive or store your Google password.

Profile and public content

Conspiracy is built around public debate. We may collect and display content you choose to create or upload, including:

Content you post in public areas of the app may be visible to other users.

Do not post private personal information about yourself or anyone else.

App activity and safety information

We may collect information needed to operate app features and keep the community safer, including:

Images, videos, and uploads

If you upload images or videos, such as profile images, debate cover images, evidence media, or reply media, those files may be stored using our backend storage provider and may be shown inside the app depending on where you uploaded them.

Before certain images are accepted, we may temporarily store them and send them to an automated safety provider to check for inappropriate content (such as nudity). Temporary copies used for that check are removed after the check completes.

Device and technical information

We may collect limited technical information automatically, such as:

This information is used to keep the app working, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and protect security.

Location information

We do not currently ask for precise GPS location permission.

Some service providers may receive or infer approximate location information from your IP address or device/network information as part of normal security, hosting, analytics, or app functionality.

Sensitive information

We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information.

However, because Conspiracy contains user-generated debate content, users may choose to post information that could reveal sensitive views, beliefs, or personal details. You should avoid posting sensitive or private information about yourself or others.

Local device information

The app may store certain preferences on your device, such as age confirmation, community notice acceptance, onboarding status, and session information.

Shake-to-report uses the device accelerometer only on your device to open the problem-report flow. We do not upload continuous sensor streams.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

3. User-generated content

Conspiracy is a debate platform. Content posted by users may be inaccurate, opinion-based, incomplete, misleading, or offensive.

We do not endorse claims posted by users.

Public content, including debates, posts, replies, usernames, avatars, votes, media, and profile information, may be visible to other users depending on the feature used.

You are responsible for the content you post.

4. Reports and moderation

Users can report content that may break the app's rules.

When a report is submitted, we may review:

Reports are reviewed manually. Reporting content does not guarantee removal.

We may also use automated tools to reject or hold media uploads that appear to break our safety rules.

We may remove content, restrict accounts, or take other action if we believe content or behaviour breaks our rules, creates safety risks, or misuses the app.

5. How we share information

We do not currently sell personal information.

We do not currently use advertising SDKs in the app.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices, choices, or consent required by law before making the change.

We may share or process information with service providers that help us operate the app. The main providers we currently use include:

These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to the app.

We may also share information if required to:

6. Google sign-in and Google API data

If you use Google sign-in, we only use Google account information to help you create, access, and manage your Conspiracy account.

Our use of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data for advertising.

7. Push notifications

Conspiracy may ask permission to send push notifications after you have completed age confirmation and signed in.

Notifications may be used for app features such as replies, votes, follows, mentions, debate activity, safety updates, or other account-related updates.

Notification payloads may include usernames and content identifiers so the app can open the relevant screen.

You can disable push notifications in your device settings. Signing out clears the push token stored on your profile.

8. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to:

Some content may remain visible until deleted by the user or removed through moderation.

Some records may be kept for safety, security, legal, backup, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Analytics and crash providers may retain data according to their own retention settings and our configuration with them.

9. Account export, deletion, and data requests

Export

You can export a JSON copy of certain account-related data from Settings → Data & Privacy → Export my data. The export is written as a UTF-8 .json file and shared or saved through your device (share sheet on iOS; folder picker on Android).

The export may include account email/ID, profile fields, posts, votes, flips, follows, and debates you started. It may not include every record held by third-party analytics, crash reporting, push, or moderation providers.

Delete your account

To delete your Conspiracy account (developer: Klevis), use the in-app flow below, or email us for help.

  1. Open the Conspiracy app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete my account.
  3. Confirm that you want to schedule deletion. You will be signed out.
  4. Optional: before deleting, use Settings → Data & Privacy → Export my data to download a JSON copy of certain account-related data.
  5. You have about 14 days to change your mind. Signing back in during this grace period cancels the deletion request.
  6. After the grace period ends, your profile and login are permanently closed (finalised). We anonymise your public profile and close the account as described below.

If you cannot use the in-app flow, email klevishysa3@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and ask us to delete your Conspiracy account.

What is deleted or anonymised

When account deletion is finalised, we anonymise your public profile (for example username, display name, avatar, and bio), clear your push token, remove follows/saves/blocks associated with your account where applicable, and your login is closed so you can no longer sign in with that account.

What may be kept

Debates, posts, replies, votes, flips, and uploaded media may remain in the app, shown as content from a deleted or anonymised user, so debates and community history can remain intact, and for safety, security, or legal reasons, unless separately removed through moderation or a further request.

We may keep limited records such as deletion request logs, reports, and security logs.

10. Your choices

You can control some information through:

You can stop using the app at any time.

11. Children and age restrictions

Conspiracy is not designed for children.

Users must be at least 17 years old, or the higher minimum age required by applicable law or app store rules in their country or region.

Before using the app, you confirm your age in an in-app age gate. That confirmation is stored on your device.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child where parental consent is required, or from someone under our minimum age, we may delete the information or take other appropriate action.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to help protect personal information.

However, no app, database, server, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot promise that unauthorised third parties will never be able to access, steal, or misuse information.

You should use a strong password, keep your login details private, and avoid posting private personal information.

13. International users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including by providers such as Supabase, Mixpanel (EU), Sentry, Sightengine, Expo, Apple, Google, and others. These countries may have different data protection laws from your country.

By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed where we or our service providers operate.

14. Third-party services

Conspiracy relies on third-party services described in section 5.

Those third-party services may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that we do not control.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we update it, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If we make significant changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of Conspiracy after updates means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
